CCSU 56: UGANDA & RWANDA

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KAMPALA.
Pick up by a company representative and then be transferred to Kampala for a city tour depending on time of arrival or transfer to the
hotel for refreshment. Dinner and overnight at Lake view Guest House/ Olympia hotel if budget.

Day 2: Kampala - Entebbe - Ssese Island
After breakfast leave to Entebbe proceed for ferry crossing to Ssese Island at 1:00pm after lunch at speke hotel - munyonyo, arrive at
theIsland and check in at Sesse hotel for dinner and Overnight.

Day 3: Ssese Island
Have breakfast at the hotel then relax at the beach enjoying beach games like swimming, canoeing on the lake, Fishing, cycling, nature
walks, return for lunch and then just relax at the beach in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Day 4; Ssese Island - Kampala
After breakfast, board ferry back to the main land. Dinner and overnight at Lake view Guest House if budget.

DAY 5: KAMPALA- JINJA (RAFTING) – DEPARETURE
Breakfast, then transfer to Jinja for your half day rafting, later have your lunch then head to Kampala Lake view guest house or similar.

DAY 6:  KAMPALA – BWINDI
After an early morning breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Park with lunch at Mbarara then proceed to Bwindi through the rolling
hills known as the “Little Switzerland” of Kabale. Then check in for Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas or Heritage Guest
House if budget.

DAY 7: BWINDI - GORILLA TREKKING
After early breakfast, with your packed lunch go for a briefing at 08:00 hours before beginning the trek. Gorilla tracking is unpredictable,
so it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike. It may take 2-8 hours, and you should be prepared to walk a long distance in
steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. For conservation purposes, time spent with
the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants. Later return for dinner
and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas or Heritage Guest House if budget.

DAY 8: BWINDI/ KISORO– KIGALI
Early morning breakfast and then transfer back to Rwanda arriving at the border for clearance where you may be required to pay $60 dollars
and on re-entry back to Uganda $30 dollars. Transfer to Kigali Town for dinner and overnight at Alpha Palace Hotel if budget.

DAY 9: KIGALI –GENOCIDE MEMORIALS
Breakfast and then visit the Genocide Memorial grounds. After lunch you can visit the craft centers or Museum. Dinner and Overnight at
Alpha Palace Or depending on time of flight, you can be transfer to the airport on this day for a flight to Nairobi.
